Ok, we're not dead, we've just been transitioning.
Big Piece of News Number One: We are expecting twins.
(Many of you already know this, but, as with any announcement we've ever made, we're sure there will be someone whose feelings are hurt because they are our CLOSEST FRIENDS and they had NO IDEA until they found out on the INTERNET of ALL PLACES. Sorry. We do our best to be classy and graceful but sometimes we fail.)
So, twins! We were surprised but excited (and overwhelmed) when we found out. The babies are due in September, but they're expected to come two or three weeks early. Everything is going well so far, and we'll post sonogram photos as soon as we have some that look like two human beings. Marin is handling the double pregnancy like a champ, and now that the morning sickness is just about over, she's starting to enjoy the extra 600 calories that she's required to eat every day.
Big Piece of News Number Two: We are moving to California
Gil accepted a great job offer in Ventura county (just north of LA), where Marin grew up before she moved to Provo. He will be working on business development and legal affairs for a company called Minatura. The company extensive interests in Latin American mining, and Gil is excited to have a job where he'll be able to use his Spanish again.
We'll be making the transition sometime over the next month or so. If you know anyone interested in a 10-month sublease on a really great Chicago apartment, let us know.
One year ago, we would not have believed someone who told us that we'd be live in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles within a 12-month period. As with the pregnancy, we're excited and slightly overwhelmed, but mostly excited.

Gil and Marin,
Congrats on the new job and bienvenidos a Los Angeles (area)! I guess you sent me something on facebook, but alas, I am not the best at checking facebook and I missed it.
I don't know if you knew that Nicki and I have twins, but if you have any questions about the twin experience, give me a call at 951-236-0855. More importantly, I can put you in contact with my Nicki who knows all things twins. She has a great blog at www.brammerbunch.blogspot.com
We are in Yorba Linda (Orange County), and Nicki and I would LOVE to get together once you get settled in.
