Outside play in January

Every so often, the weather is warm enough to play outside in January. Marin judges it to be "warm enough" when Charlie is able to wear a coat light enough that he can put his arms down. Charlie appreciates the chance to run around without having to worry about running into other children (playgrounds are deserted in January).
Charlie looks lonely and sad. He's actually happy. This is his response to Marin's "say cheese!"

Charlie is looking out the window (and what did he see? Popcorn popping on the apricot tree!)

Charlie's new favorite snack is dry health food cereal. Marin thinks it has the texture of dog food. It's no secret that Charlie loves dogs...

He's getting so tall; we can hardly stand it. Maybe the cereal is laced with growth hormone.

That is funny...Jack is scared of dogs. He was watching a dog show and was still scared! Ha Ha
