This is old news by now, but we here are some photos from our trip to there Brooklyn Botanic Garden from the weekend that Patrick came to visit. The garden is definitely joining our list of hidden gems of the city.

The Garden is designed to have a highlight section every month of the year. When we went, the bluebells were the featured section. They were so beautiful, and the trees surrounding them are over four hundred years years old.

Charlie called this tree a "tree house" because the branches came down to the ground. I think it was his favorite part of the gardens.

Charlie loves his Uncle Tratrick, and we've enjoyed having him just a bus ride away this summer.

Gil's favorite climate-controlled greenhouse was the damp tropical forest. He is the only human on the planet who prefers jungle weather to anything else.

Marin prefered the cactus greenhouse. Gotta love those succulents.

Charlie was the only member of our merry band who didn't feel at least a twinge of hay fever. Even Gil, who is disgustingly allergy-free, suppressed a few sniffles.

Since Charlie literally ran circles around the rest of us for the whole trip, by the end of the day, he was pretty pooped.
